Splish-Splash Around St John, US Virgin Islands

Any trip to our home, The United States Virgin Islands, must, Must, MUST include lots and lots of time in, on, and under the water. Our latest trip back to St John was certainly no exception, as evidenced by the photo above. You’d be forgiven, though, for thinking that our splish-splash fun was centered on pool-hopping judging by the pic.

I mean, just LOOK AT THAT WATER! It’s a little hard to believe, but those are the shallows that line the shores of Trunk Bay!

As noted before, the hurricanes of many months past took a major toll here. Mother Nature, though, has largely bounced back. This is especially true in the western part of STJ and along her shores.

Water like this reminds us why the Virgin Islands were so named in the first place. To be sure, the mythical beauty of St Ursula and her 11,000 virgins remains reflected in STJ’s seas.

Wish you were here enjoying some splish-splash fun in St John…?
