Snorkeling the Tobago Cays with Turtles
Sometimes our travels can seem too good to be true. Particularly when we find ourselves in an otherworldly protected area. That’s certainly the case snorkeling the Tobago Cays Marine Park in the Grenadines islands south of St. Vincent.
Few destinations better define uncommon for us than these five cays between Union Island and Canouan that can only be accessed by boat. There’s just nothing like the barely populated island of Mayreau, Petit Rameau, Baradal, Petit Bateau, brilliant white sand beaches, and the dreamy waters found here.
Magical. Enchanting. Spellbinding. The Tobago Cays are all that and so much more. Especially beneath the waves along Horseshoe Reef.
Come along with me snorkeling the Tobago Cays through this magical underwater world with the LTD Sailing team. Munching sea turtles, soaring stingrays, the occasional eagle rays, nurse sharks, and curious fish were the stars on a recent break from my sailing school lessons.
From sandy bottoms to cruising by coral reefs, these visuals will have you dreaming of inhabiting these uninhabited islands.
