The Thrill of Goat Racing in Tobago: Photo of the Day
To the uninitiated, goat racing may sound a little silly, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The annual spectacle of Tobago goat racing at the multi-million dollar track dedicated to sport is nothing short of exhilarating, as Hugh Stickney captures in this incredible photo from 2013.
Races are held at the Buccoo Goat Racing Stadium on Easter Tuesday – the first Tuesday after every Easter Sunday (April 22 this year). Additional races are held a day prior in the nearby village of Mount Pleasant.
