Splashing Down Into the Blue at Buck Island, St. Croix
I’ve been coming here for years; the far eastern tip of Buck Island. As school kids, these waters served as both playground and classroom during regular field trips. As I got older, our Buck Island excursions adopted more of a party vibe, of course. Before the rum and riddims start flowing, though, we often still make time for the same snorkel fun and exploration of my youth. Splashing down here always elicits the same childhood joys of long ago, the butterflies bounding about my belly every single time. Indeed, this just never gets old.
