Snorkeling Cave Cove St Thomas

It remains to this day one of my all-time favorite UC adventures – snorkeling Cave Cove St Thomas. The cozy cave lies nestled along the west coast of Outer Brass Island, one of many satellite islets encircling STT. Hardscrabble and uninhabited, Outer Brass is a wildlife sanctuary owned by the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands. As such, of course, it’s all kinds of wild, thrilling. You really feel this to the fullest exploring these sexy grotto-like surrounds.

Snorkeling Cave Cove St Thomas, though, isn’t as easy or accessible as exploring more common STT undersea environs like Coki Beach. You’ll need a boat and an experienced guide who really knows the area.

Thankfully, there’s See & Ski Powerboat Rentals. Look them up, and when you do, ask for our buddy, Captain Thomas. His beach/islet-hopping tour is easily among the top must-do’s for any visit to St Thomas.

Buck Island, St. Thomas

There's another Buck Island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The St. Thomas version, though, is not much like the Buck Island we grew up knowing in St. Croix.

Welcome To St Thomas/St John Week!

Miracles are made in 9 months, so it was fitting that we found ourselves back in St Thomas/St John 9 months post-hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Hassel Island, St. Thomas Near Sunset

Once connected to mainland St. Thomas, the former peninsula/pirate hideout that is Hassel Island remains a beautiful centerpiece of Charlotte Amalie.
