I was at the local fish fry in Exuma waiting for Rasta Steve to fix up his self-proclaimed “World’s Best Conch Salad” for me. You know, just minding my own business.
Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, I got this unsolicited lesson on where Kalik Beer got its name…
Is his story legit? Honestly, I have no idea.
The experience of hearing it here in this way from this guy, though, makes the story eternally great to me.
Truly, I was as happy to get the lesson as he seemed to be about delivering it…
