Out at sea, plying their trade, they amaze ⎯ old fishing boats like this one in Haiti forever battling time and tides to deliver the catch of the day.

We'd been at sea for 100+ minutes of a scheduled 90-minute ferry ride from Antigua to Barbuda. All around us, though, was wide open seas. Where was Barbuda?

The Tombolo de Pointe du Bout sits at the mouth of La Marina de la Pointe du Bout, one of the busiest ports of call in Martinique. If you're ever heading to or from Trois-Ilets, as most visitors to Martinique surely do, you can't miss it. 

Dominica is constantly evolving, with persistent geothermal-volcanic activity progressively changing the landscape and fortifying her nutrient-rich soil. The result is jaw-dropping scenes of natural wonder, like this small slice of the Indian River.

Jutting dramatically from the sea, the "head" of Creole Rock has long remained an iconic symbol of Grand Case, the sexy seaside village that in so many ways embodies the best of French Saint Martin. To me, though, the "feet" section of Creole Rock is photo-worthy in its own right.

Though you may have caught the ferry over to Les Saintes countless times from Trois-Rivières, the très-quiet seaside village at the far southern tip of Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, it's likely that you've never enjoyed this view of your intended destination.

The axiom has held true in St.Croix for as long as anyone can remember. West Is Best – much less a reckless boast espoused by the residents of Frederiksted than an affirmation generally shared by all Crucians of the many things that make the left coast of our home island so special.

The Crossing Place Trail that exists in Middle Caicos today doesn't cover the full length of the original, but thankfully it still includes many of the most scenic seaside sections, including this one at Mudjin Harbour.

They mirror each other – fluffy white clouds sprinkled across a vibrant blue sky; lush green islets dotting the azure sea below. Travel along the north coast of St. John and you'll find scenes like this repeated all along the roadside.
