Marina Pointe du Bout, Martinique – Wish You Were Here

Marina Pointe du Bout is one of the busiest ports in Martinique. Passenger ferries shuttle people across the Bay of Fort-de-France and back again all day, everyday (except Sunday). Full- and half-day boat excursions cast off from here as well. Laden with tourists and plenty of planteur, they chase dolphins and duck into bat caves up and down Martinique’s calm Caribbean coast. In-between the bustle of these larger boats, though, local fisherman still make their way. As with most things in Martinique, authenticity endures.

Wish you were here…?

The last time I found myself driving in southern Martinique, I just had to stop at le Point du Vue, Baie du Marin and do nothing for a good 30 minutes.
