Antigua and Barbuda get a lot of love for their 365 beaches. While those strips of white sand are nice, beaches are just the beginning.

A long day of intermittent lounging, swimming, splashing around, and laughing along the pristine and perfectly crescent-shaped white sand paradise of Deep Bay, Antigua is drawing to a close.

The dozens of tiny islets, rocks, and cays that encircle Antigua are a big part of what makes this special island such a delight for sailors and boaters. While many of these satellites invite visitation, others, like Great Sister, are best admired from afar.

Two comfy chairs, one amazing beach, a slight bit of seclusion, and the sunset – all the perfect ingredients for romance are readily available to guests of Pineapple Beach Club, Antigua.

When it comes to kiteboarding in the Caribbean, certain destinations are a given. To me, though, Antigua wasn't one of them.
