Time out from adventuring around Aruba is best spent on Eagle Beach, especially if you hate crowds and love pristine, powder-soft sand...

All throughout the day, sailors and jet-skiers parade atop these depths, hugging ever closer shore to shore in order to attract attention, customers.

I got short-changed on my run, though the experience proved priceless.

My latest Aruba escape to the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort, the adults-only enclave set on expansive Eagle Beach, was my all-time favorite.

Most people probably see this as little more than a ruin; the sad remains of an old jetty long reclaimed by the sea. Not me.

You'd expect the entertainment at Zeerovers to be very much on the uncommon side.

Traditional Aruban fishing boats just look happy to me, which certainly fits in a place known as "One Happy Island."
